Let’s Build the Puakea Learning Center!
Uncle Bobby has been working for decades under the leanest and meanest of conditions to restore koa canoes, build hand-made paddles, and teach others the art of Hawaiian canoeing. First out of a ramshackle collection of tents attached to his garage at him home, and then at Heʻeia Park, under open tents and suffering the loss of thousands of dollars of tools by theft.
The tide has turned though and we now have plans drawn up for an official learning center and new hale to house the canoe restoration work. Please look at the exciting architectural drawings that have been prepared below.
BREAKING NEWS! The Castle Foundation is awarding us $60,000 in seed money for this building campaign! With your help at Casino Night, this dream will be real in light speed time!
